Here are the prayer requests for June from Team Seville!
Praise:
1. Praise the Father that we baptized 4 new believers this month. Pray for Veronica, Juanmi, Sebastian, and Leticia as they continue to grow in their faith.
Requests:
1. Pray for the students at Los Alamos, the high school where we volunteer. Students are very involved with our interns this semester and are beginning to come to events outside of school.
2. Pray for Rusty as he leads the youth group. Pray for a smooth transition as 3 of our interns leave and new interns arrive.
3. Pray for an upcoming beach trip with students to celebrate the year. There we will share the gospel again to all the students. Pray that God will graciously open the hearts of these students.
4. Pray for the details of one of our interns, Derek, who is going to stay for an extended period of time & for the details of his visa.
5. Pray for several of the woman that have been attending the women's English Bible study. There are several unbelievers that seem to be seeking the truth!
Prayer Requests for May
1. Praise the Lord that the English classes that team Seville teaches in the local high schools are bearing fruit! Pray for several students that have expressed interest in spiritual things! Also pray for the many relationships that have been built with teachers & students that they will lead to continued Gospel sharing opportunities.
2. Praise the Lord for a woman that has been studying the Bible with us now for several months & continues to have a desire to read the scriptures & know more. Pray for her salvation!
3. Pray that the Lord would continue to help us find those that are "seeking" to know the truth and that we would have the boldness to share the Gospel with them!
Prayer Requests for March and April
1. Pray for Menchu, a teacher friend, and her husband, David, as they go through some difficulties with their family. Menchu, who is not a believer, has asked for continued prayers as she has seen God at work in response to prayers already offered on her behalf. Wow!
2. Pray for someone to take over Christy's ladies' Bible study when she goes on STAS in July. I would like to see someone begin to take over now so we can have a smooth transition and not fall apart when I leave. My prayer is that one of the ladies' will do it but so far they say they "aren't qualified".
1.) Pray for "R" a woman that has just begun to study teh Bible with us. She is very hungry to know the truth. Pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to give her the desire to know Him.
2.) Pray for the planning and actual event of our "Open Mic", March 23rd, that new people would come and it would be a success.
3.) Pray for the Hands On guys who are seeing great things happeneing in the highschools where we volunteer. Pray that the students, parents and teachers they are bodly sharing the Gospel with will be drawn to the Lord.
4.) Pray for my teacher friend "M". She is going through difficult times and needs peace and rest. Pray that God will use me in her life to point her to the true source of peace and the one who can carry her burdens.
5.) Pray for the 12 students and 2 teachers who will travel to Knoxville to stay with Christian families in April. Pray that God will use their time to draw them to himself and that they will recognize the love being poured out on them as God's love.

1.) Pray for Seville's new Hand's On guys, Josh and Derek. Pray that they will connect with students in the schools where they will volunteer and be able to get students involved in activities outside of the church where they can share Christ with them.2.)Pray for the church plant as we continue to struggle without a pastor. Pray that God would bring the right man at the right time and that we would do more than "tread water" in the meantime.
3.) Praise God for a couple in the church who became believers a year ago and now have decided to take the step of baptism. Pray that Juan Miguel and Veronica will be courageous in stepping out of tradition and that this will be a bold testimony to their unbelieving family and friends.4.) Pray for wisdom on when and where to begin a new ourtreach groups with Spaniards that show interest in studying the Scriptures. Please pray that it will be directed by the Holy Spirit and not done in fleshly power.5.) Pray for continued prayer support from supporting churches & prayer partners. Many in the states do not understand why we are not seeing more "results" & why things are not moving faster. Pray that God will give them understanding and a burden to keep praying fervently, even in the midst of what appears to be a dry land. Pray for continued interest in the Scriptures and salvation for these brothers.- Pray for Jose Maria, a believer who has become jaded his walk with Christ and needs to reconnect with Jesus. - PRAISE: new girls coming to English Club.-

1. For Connexxion University ministry - a praise at how God is working among the students! One student Dani, who is super close to salvation and for another student, Nico, who is also seeking Christ.
2. Pray for Simo and Anass (two muslim brothers) who are both very interested in Christianity, open to learning more and are reading the Bible now. Pray that God would show them that the truth is Christ and they would have boldness and courage to reject Islam and follow Christ even though they may receive persecution from their family.3. Please pray for a teacher friend who likes to talk about ethics and morals but not about God. Pray that I (Christy) will be able to chip away at her "goodness theology" and share Truth with her. 4. Pray for the church plant in Bormujos. Not having a permanent pastor is difficult and change is constant. Pray that those who are there will feel the sense of being the "body of Christ" and that He is the head, regardless of whether we have a pastor or not.5. Also that the members of the church will choose to participate in the evangelistic nationwide project "Mi Esperanza" [My Hope] which is a TV-program shown during Christmas that is used to share the Good News. Please pray that God would use it.6. Spain is a country that is rooted in religious traditions, but especially during the Christmas season, the Christmas story is a huge part of the holidays here. However, it is ironic, because so many Spaniards have these huge Nativity scenes in their homes, yet not only, do most not have a relationship with Christ, but many don't even believe that He exists. Pray that during the Christmas holidays, the Lord will cause them to question their religious traditions & that God would give us opportunities to share with them the true joy of this holiday season that only comes through a relationship with Christ!

1. Pray for Fatima, a nominal Muslim friend who has come to the last two Ladies' Tea Times. She is open about the fact that she doesn't believe as we do, but she listens and keeps coming back. Pray that we will be able to share openly with her and that she will see the Light of the World in us and be drawn to HIM.2. Pray for the church plant in Bormujos. Pray that those attending will feel God's presence and that it would be a place that they can invite their Spanish friends to experience worship instead of religion. 3.Praise God for Leticia, a Spanish national who has been coming to Connexxion events for well over a year. She was not interested in the Gospel initially, but continued to spend time with Lauren Howard and Lauren Denton over the last year and prayed to receive Christ this past week!!! Pray that she will continue to be enthusiastic and will grow in her new faith!
4. Pray for one of our Spanish professors that has heard the Gospel over five times this week. She is asking so many questions because she is seeking to find the truth. Please pray that the Holy Spirit will strongly call her to Himself & open her eyes to see that He is the Way, the TRUTH & the Life!!

during september please remember to pray for:
-- ministries that will start again after the August break. Pray that our church plant will see new growth and the "sting" of the Actons' absence will encourage regulars to take ownership and become leaders.
-- the ladies in Christy's Friday Bible study. It looks like we are going to use a book that deals with a lot of the questions these "not-yet-believers" and new believers struggle with. Pray that we'll be able to grow in our relationship withthe Father as we discover more about Him.
-- for the ESL ministry. Without interns this semester, it wil lbe impossible to offer the schools what we've offered in the past. PRay that God will guide us in what to continue and what to let die. These are difficult decisions.
-- While it seems that so many Spaniards just do not seem to be interested in spiritual things, please pray that the Holy Spirit will elad us to those who are seeking to know the truth. We know they are out there, becuse we know that God is constantly at work, even in teh spiritually dry country. Pray that we will continue to faithfull and boldly share the truth.
prayer requests for july:
1.) Pray for the Univeristy ministry and for girls: Leticia, Lluvia, Valeria would committ to meeting once a week for a more in-depth Bible Study.2.) Please pray for several Spanish friend that have recentl heard the entire Gospel. A few seem interested in knowing more. Pray that God will give them the desire to take the next step & begin to study the Bible with us and that God will give us the wisdom to know how to lead these studies.3) Connexxion Ministry--pray that although University students are out of school that we can find meaningful time to spend one on one and invest in Spaniards

June Prayer Requests for Team Seville
1. Please pray for our newly formed "core group". We have asked 8 people from our new church to take part in a 4 week intense journey to becoming the core group for future leadership for the church. Some of these came to our community as believers, but most are recent converts. This is a very important step in handing over leadership to nationals as the Acton family goes on their one year furlough this August.2. Please pray that students would continue to be drawn by God's grace because of what was started at the recent retreat in Portugal with over 15 University students.3. Pray for my friend, Pepa, whose mother died at Christmas and now her father died last week. She says she doesn't believe in God but is desperately seeking peace and comfort. Pray that she'll reach out to Him for these things that only He can provide.4. Pray over the preparations for 2 mission teams who will be joining us in June. Pray that all plans will be HIS plans, not ours. Pray that God will be opening hearts even now in preparation for what He will do in and through these teams of youth. 5. Please pray for a Spanish family that is interested in beginning to study the Bible. Please pray that the Words of the Scriptures will penetrate their hearts & that their eyes will be opened to the truth of the Gospel.6. Pray for friends David and Sebastian who are asking a lot of questions and are very interested in what we believe. They have heard the gospel, so pray they would make a decision.

May Requests for Team Sevilla:
1. Pray that God would continue to pursue and change the hearts of the students who are around us. And that he would continue to "open to us a door...to speak of the mystery of Christ" [Colossians 4] and that people would see Jesus for who He really is - apart from all the religious things that the Catholic church attached to Jesus.
2. Pray for our student retreat this May! Pray that many students would come and it would be a great time of questions, discussion, insight, and them being drawn closer to the Lord.3. For sandra, a girl that we have been trying to share the Gospel with, that she would come to know the Lord.4. On May 2, sixteen Spaniard students will be returning from a trip to the US in which they stayed in Christian homes and celebrated Easter. Pray that all they saw, heard, and experienced during their 12 day stay will not leave them but will set them on a path to a relationship with Christ. Pray they will be impacted by more than the "wonder" of American life. Pray that they will see what it means to live a Christian life and that they will desire that for themselves.5. Pray that we will be diligent to pray for protection against spiritual warfare, that is coming in many different forms: sickness, fighting, stress, doubt, and more. Please pray that we will stand firm in Christ during the attacks of the evil one.6. Praise for the 2 young ladies that were baptized on Sunday and please pray for the 10 others that have expressed interest in being baptized in July. Adult baptism is a big step for former Catholics, so pray that they would submit to the Lord in this area of faith.
March Request: Pray that the Spanish people that have been saved will grow in their walk with Christ and become leaders that would begin to take ownership of the work in Seville, Spain.
February Request: Please pray that God would send a national pastor for the church plant in Seville, Spain.
